MagLev – future of transportation?

June 2nd, 2012

Hi Greenzoners, welcome again, now in June! 🙂

We were asking you about your favourite means of non-pollutive transport, one of the answers was “MagLev”. 🙂

MagLev stands for Magnetic Levitation and it is a technology used in the communication, that makes trains fast, efficient, and what’s most important – non-pollutive.  Instead of normal “wheels and rails”, it uses magnets, so that the only main problem is air resistance.
They are mostly present in highly developped countries (like Japan), and they are beating world’s speed records. 🙂 Fastest MagLev had the speed of 581km/h, faster than popular TGV in France.

What do you think about it, Greenzoners? For now it is a fresh technology still in development, but we are sure that it is going to become popular all over the world.
Maybe some of you already travelled by MagLev and will share his/her experience? 😉
