Question: ecological designs or initiatives in the places you live

Hi Greenzoners, recently we showed some incredible futuristic designs of ecologically sustained houses and other objects.

The question for today is – what project can you find in your surrounding? Many towns have their own little ecological initiatives – other places decide to open for the tourist, which also leads to preservation of that area, so it would presents itself good to the tourists.

So, how about yours? Show or tell us any interesting stories or project ideas from the places you live, and maybe we’ll write about it! 🙂

Eco Tips: Eco cleaners #5 – clean wooden floors with tea

Dishes clean, as well as tiles on the floor. 🙂 But what if we have wooden floor? A great way to clean wood is tea – to start with, boil a pot of water. Then, add 5 or 6 tea bags into it. Leave it for about 10 minutes, and, after that, pour that tea into your mop bucket – you can add some cold water, if the tea is too hot. Sweep your floor with mop – it should wash off any stains and even make them a little more shiny.
But watch out – it may be slippery. 😉

Eco Tips: Eco cleaners #4 – To make your dishes shine… use ketchup! :)

If your cookware such as pots and frying pans are getting tarnished, then you won’t cook much – unless you clean your bronze cutlery and dishes.
To do that, you can simply use… ketchup. 🙂 And nothing else, don’t add anything, don’t mix it with anything… just pour some ketchup on cloth or rag, and rub the tarnished parts until they disappear. After that, clean it with water. Save some time and money and be ecological. 😉

Eco Tips: Ecological cleaners #3 – lemon juice

Want to save money on your dishwashing liquid? Try using lemon juice – it has abilities to wash off many stains out of steel or dishes. What you need to do is to mix lemon juice with baking soda and vinegar to create a paste which can be used to clean dishes, surfaces and stain. If you want to clean your house furniture – mix this lemon juice with olive oil. 🙂 The possibilities are many, but always try this mixture before actual cleaning, to check if it won’t cause any damage or bleach marks in your house. 😉
